Qi Xiu Yuan felt like he could not keep himself calm at all. Since the moment Xiao Li stooped down to look up at him with brightened eyes that looked as if all his dream had come true, and his voice was low yet full of determination as he said to him, ‘Qi Xiu Yuan, I am willing to.’ he felt as though he had been dreaming.

At that time, he had absent-mindedly listened to Xiao Li plotting out his plan with the police; listened to him give his men a call; infatuatedly and bewilderedly got in the elevator with him, watched the lounge bustled with words of power, then he felt as though he was floating along the wind as Xiao Li pushed him toward a black box style car and carefully helped him into the back seat. “This group of kids only thought they were coming here to rescue a disabled hostage, so when they saw Qi Xiu Yun, they weren’t on guard at all. But, this guy is extremely sly. In less than a few words, he was able to get some information out of us. Then he acted all pompous and got Laohu close enough to him before he snatched the walkie-talkie. Afterward, taking advantage of the commotion, he locked himself on the balcony.”

Wu Qing Hua walked and mumbled to himself. He, himself, doesn’t even know if he was complaining that his men were terrible or explaining to Xiao Li that ordinarily his men were actually not that terrible. Continue reading

A little later into the night, Li Shi Qing had someone brought food over to Xiao Li’s room so that they can have dinner together.

Two bodyguards were standing behind him, but they were not the same men from before. Since the incident with Yan Ming and Liu Zi Cheng, Li Shi Qing has started to utilize all the bodyguards. Every day, four groups of men would switch off to protect him. Continue reading

After what seemed like several minutes and several few more seconds, Li Shi Qing recovered. His brows slowly pulled together into a frown before he turned around to look at Xiao Li.

Xiao Li was expressionless.

Li Shi Qing turned back, narrowed his eyes and stared at Qi Xiu Yuan for a long time, observing him. Finally, he coldly said, “It’s best if you don’t play any tricks with me.” Continue reading

As Li Shi Qing got up and retreated, he kept his head low allowing his expression to be hidden in the shadows.

“Qing……Qing Ye,” stammered Liu Zi Cheng from behind, sounding as if he has not fully recovered from the shock. From his point of view, Li Shi Qing’s back seemed to be beaten with exhaustion. He sighed deeply, picked up his gun and quietly said, “I really didn’t expect……”

“I also didn’t expect this.” Liu Zi Cheng’s voice sounded off again. However, this time it had changed from being waned with shock to being cooked with steadiness and danger as it traveled closely to Li Shi Qing’s right side.  Continue reading

After Xiao Li came down the stairs and returned to the car, he did not start his engine immediately. He simply sat there waiting until he saw Qi Xiu Yuan emerged. Two people appeared from the car parked at the corner and quickly made their way toward the corridor pushing a stretcher. After coming back out with the person lying on the stretcher and skillfully lifting him into the car, a couple minutes later, they rapidly sped off.

Finally loosening his tense body, Xiao Li pulled his phone out to make a call. Continue reading

Xiao Li was speechless for a long time while he looked Qi Xiu Yuan up and down as if he does not recognize him. After another moment flashed by, unable to withstand the expectation that dwelled in the eyes that took in his, Xiao Li turned away, “What do you mean leave together, weren’t you just scared a moment ago?” Continue reading

In Jin Gu Yuan’s large private room, several of the city’s most prominent gang leaders from each territory were present. All their brows locked tightly together with worry as they sat in a heavily imposing atmosphere.

“Then, let me simply relay the situation.” The person who spoke was Liu Zi Cheng.[1] Normally, he has an exceptionally calm and courteous nature, but in reality, he was merciless. As such, he has already been chosen to be Li Shi Qing’s successor behind closed door. Continue reading

In his dream, Qi Xiu Yuan saw himself chasing after something. He was running inside a dark and gloomy cave that was completely decorated with thick vines. Once he got to the end, he rushed passed a long, dazzling gold river that shone so bright that anyone looking at it would find it hard to open their eyes. Nearing the end of it, he then burst into one gorgeous hall after the next until an ear-piercing noise rung out incessantly within his vicinity. And, accompanying that, several hands, ranging in various colors appeared in front of him as he continued along the way. But even with all these adversaries trying to obstruct him, he did everything he could and ran, never once stopping. Continue reading
